Thomas H. Boyd Memorial Hospital’s Laboratory is equipped with technology, providing a full service laboratory offering a broad range of routine and specialty services for both inpatient and outpatient medical care.
         

The laboratory is open for outpatient services Monday through Friday 6:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. and Saturday as needed. Testing is performed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to provide rapid turnaround time.  Laboratory orders are accepted from any local or out-of-area physicians.

The Laboratory includes a team of skilled and experienced professionals who are committed to providing quality care to our patients. The Laboratory is fully staffed with registered Medical Technologists and certified Phlebotomy Technicians supervised by Lab Director, Dr. Weigand Zhu, an employee pathologist of WCP Laboratories in St. Louis. Thomas H. Boyd Memorial Hospital’s Laboratory is accredited by Illinois Department of Public health and holds a CLIA (Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments) License under the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).
